1. Slovakia – Medical Universities

Slovakia officially the Slovak Republic is a country in Central Europe. It is bordered by the Czech Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east and Hungary to the south. The capital and largest city is Bratislava.
Slovakia is a high-income advanced economy with one of the fastest growth rates in the European Union and the OECD. The country joined the European Union in 2004 and the Eurozone on 1 January 2009. Slovakia is also a member of the Schengen Area, NATO, the United Nations, the OECD and the WTO.

2. Bulgaria – Medical Universities

Bulgaria officially the Republic of Bulgaria is a country in southeastern Europe.
It is a member of the European Union, NATO, and the Council of Europe; a founding state of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE); and has taken a seat at the UN Security Council three times.

3. Romania – Medical Universities

Romania is the seventh most populous member state of the European Union. Its capital and largest city, Bucharest, is the sixth largest city in the EU.

4. Austria

Put your wallet away: Austria’s medical courses are free. This makes it one of the best places to go if you’re studying on a shoestring budget and can’t afford to roll out the big cheques for each semester. Instead, you can happily chug along, safe in the knowledge that you’re getting a fantastic, world-class education from one of the most intellectually rigorous countries on the planet. Beware, however, as a very good knowledge of the German language will probably be required and you’ll have to pass a series of preliminary tests to get onto the course where these linguistic abilities will keep you in good stead. Austria has been a member of the United Nations since 1955, joined the European Union in 1995, and is a founder of the OECD. Austria also signed the Schengen Agreement in 1995 and adopted the European currency, the Euro, in 1999.

5. Hungary – Medical Universities

Historic cities, beautiful landscapes, themal hot-spots and great wine – Hungary has a lot going for it. The best news? It is becoming a hot-spot for medicine as well. Of the 12.000 international students studying in Hungary right now, most of them are training to be doctors. What’s more, it has four universities in the top 350 on the 2017 QS World Rankings by Subject for Medicine: Semmelweis University, University of Debrecen, University of Pécs and University of Szeged. The tuition fees for degrees in Hungary are slightly higher than other countries on this list (prices range from €4900 to €10 500 depending on the area of study and the university) BUT the cost of living in Hungary is decidedly affordable. Apparently, most students in the capital city of Budapest can get by on about 600 euros a month including rent.

6. The Czech Republic – Medical Universities

The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east and Poland to the northeast. The capital and largest city, Prague, has over 1.2 million residents.
