The Integrated Master’s course in Dental Medicine (Dentistry) at Egas Moniz University (IUEM) is one of the most renowned master’s degrees in Portugal in this area, being a pioneer with the introduction of the Integrated Clinic in the last semester of the Master’s and having maintained, after the adaptation to Bologna, a strong clinical/practical component. This provides the graduates with practical experience and a global clinical view of the patient, in contrast to the piecemeal and mono disciplinary view usually instituted in the teaching of Dentistry in other schools.
The Integrated Master in Dentistry aims to develop the scientific and technical skills necessary for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity, and rehabilitation. The students trained at the (IUEM) have a generalist training that, thanks to the eminently practical profile of the teaching given, especially in the last years of the course, is qualified to exercise his profession with competence and professionalism.
The Faculty of Dentistry has a tradition of academic excellence in the training of professionals that began around 30 years ago. They are the school in Portugal with the most trained dentists on the market (according to 2013 statistics from the Portuguese Dental Association). They have evolved successfully since the beginning of the Degree in Dentistry in 1987, always with the aim of meeting the new challenges faced by professionals in this area and the new technological advances, equipment and materials.

DURATION OF STUDY AND TUITION FEES:
The duration of study for Dentistry is 5 years.
Tuition fees for EU citizens 7,248 Euros paid in 12 installments.
Tuition fees for Non – EU citizens 10,249 Euros paid in 12 installments.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
50% and above in Biology in the last year of High School and the High School Diploma cannot be older than 2 years.
