Entrance Exam of the Safarik University of Medicine: Quality programs in the field of Medicine and Dentistry are currently offered in English for international students in Kosice, Slovakia named Cultural Capital of Europe in 2013.
The English program is 16 years old. Over 600 international students have successfully completed their studies and earned a degree in the field of General medicine or Dentistry.
The medical degrees awarded at Safarik University are recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). All our degrees are automatically accepted in the EU.
Graduates are entitled to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
The courses are taught by qualified and experienced faculty and the seminars are performed in small class sizes of 8 – 10 students.

The Faculty of Medicine was founded in the year 1948 as a branch of the Faculty of Medicine of the Slovak University.
The origin of the Faculty of Medicine bears relation with the State Hospital in Košice, having been officially opened on 24th June 1924. Later on, a new modern complex of the Faculty of Medicine and the Teaching Hospital was built.
The credit system at the Safarik University of Medicine is compatible with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
The Faculty of Medicine of the Safarik University of Medicine has significant partners. Six other medical facilities, where the Faculty offers its students their field training.
The faculty consists of 57 institutes and departments carrying out their professional performance. There are 40 professors, 45 associate professors, 144 senior lecturers, 2041 Slovak students and 250 international students.
DURATION OF STUDY AND TUITION FEES:
The duration of study at the Safarik University of Medicine is 6 years and tuition is 10,500 euros per year and paid in two installments.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS :
The applicants must successfully pass their admittance multiple-choice tests in Chemistry and Biology, for which we fully students to ensure 100% success.
